Art. 1: DESCRIPTION

​

The contest is open to dancers of all ages, nationalities and styles. It will take place at the Auditorium Theater of the Sanchinarro Cultural Center (Madrid). The Theater has a stage of 7 x 12 meters. The competition will take place throughout the day, approximately from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The organization reserves the right to divide the event into two sessions: one in the morning and one in the afternoon (in this case, at the end of each session, the prizes will be awarded). The public will be able to attend the performances, buying the ticket in advance at the cost of €10. Tickets for spectators can only be purchased in advance, by filling in the reservation form that will be sent to each school.

Art.2: SECTIONS AND CATEGORIES

​

In all categories, repertoire pieces will also be allowed. The same people/groups may not dance more than 2 times in the same category (example: maximum 2 times as a soloist in classical + 2 times in 2-4 classical + 2 times in classical group).

Contest Styles:

• Classical Dance : Soloists / 2-4 /Group

• Contemporary : Soloists / 2-4 / Group

• Fusion Dance (Modern, Funky, Hip-Hop, Jazz) : 2-4 / Group

• Spanish Dance (all modalities of Spanish Dance: Bolera School, Stylized Dance, Flamenco and Folklore with recorded music. It is possible to perform with the musicians only in the pre-pro category and the musicians must be registered as the dancers): Soloists / 2 -4 / Group 

 

age categories (reference is made to the year of birth and not to the real age. In the 2-4 all the dancers must be of the required age, differently, the piece will be placed in the oldest category. In the groups, there is a tolerance of 20% older dancers Variously, the group will be placed in the older category):

• Children (born in 2012 or later)

• Junior (born between 2009 and 2011)                           

• Senior (born between 2008 or before)

• Pre-Pro (only for Spanish Dance – born in 2001 or before)

 

Duration:

• Soloists: 2 minutes

• ​​2-4 (duos, trios and quartets): 3 minutes 

• ​Group (minimum 5 people): 4 minutes

Art.3: JURY AND AWARDS:

​

The jury will be made up of international personalities from the world of Dance, who will be published on our website. The judges determinedinate the category classification that are given exclusively on a mathematical basis. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of each category, international scholarships and other gadgets. The jury reserves the right not to award some prizes if the vote is less than 60/100. Soloists will receive medals, while groups will receive metal plaques. In addition to the category prizes, important scholarships and registrations will be awarded to the following events, contests and intensive courses:

Art. 4: REGISTRATION, DEADLINES AND NECESSARY DOCUMENTS

 

To participate, applicants must pre-register by sending an email toconcursodanzando@aol.com Immediately afterwards, the organization will respond by communicating the availability of places together with the instructions to complete the registrationbefore November 15, 2023. In the event that the maximum number of registered choreographies is reached, to respect the communicated times, the management reserves the right to close registrations early.

FEE

Competition "Dancing 2023":

• Soloist: €50 (in the event that the same dancer participates with more than one piece as a soloist, the following ones will cost €30 each)

• 2-4: €25 per person.

• Group (from 5 people and more) €20 per person.

Payment must be made in a single payment, in the name of the school/group and, in the reason for payment, specify “NAME OF THE SCHOOL – DANZANDO 2023”. The bank codes are Bic/Swift: CAIXESBBXXX – Iban: ES87 0133 4493 3642 0000 0759, Banco de la Caixa on behalf of Asociacion Danza in Valencia. Once paid, it will not be possible to refund the registration.

REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS

• DOC 2 – one form for each choreography

• MUSIC (only in MP3 format. If the music does not fit in an e-mail, usewww.wetransfer.com. Very important is to re-name the audio file with:name of the school - title choreography).

Deadlines: all documentation must necessarily be sentbefore November 15, 2023.

Art. 5: DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMPETITION.

​

IMPORTANT :The competition will take place throughout the day, approximately from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The organization reserves the right to divide the event into two sessions: one in the morning and one in the afternoon (in this case, at the end of each session, the prizes will be awarded).The public will be able to attend the performances, buying the ticket in advance at the cost of €10. Tickets for spectators can only be purchased in advance, by filling out the form that will be sent to each school. The theater has 400 seats and the tickets will be numbered. The purchase must be made, cumulatively, only through the address of the dance school of belonging. On the day of the competition it will NOT be possible to purchase tickets. Each contestant (soloist or group) must bring a USB with the music of the contest, which will be used in the event that the music sent is missing. To guarantee the same evaluation criteria in all the choreographies, the lighting will consist of white lights, rehearsals prior to the contest will not be allowed. It will not be possible to bring materials, objects or substances onto the stage that could damage or make the floor slippery.

Art. 6: AUTHORIZATION AND EXEMPTIONS FROM LIABILITY:

​

By completing the registration form, the participant of the “Danzando 2023” event exempts the organizers of the event from all responsibility in reference to personal belongings and conflicts with third parties; declares that each participant is in good physical condition to practice Dance, that underage participants have the authorization of their legal guardians and that the organizers have full authorization to freely use the images collected during the activity.

Art. 7: PHOTOS AND VIDEOS.

 

Neither photos nor videos are authorized. There will be professionals who will immediately sell photos and videos.

Art. 8: CONCLUSION.

 

The organization reserves the right to modify the event, or part of it, for unforeseen reasons, at any time: schedules, prizes, articles, categories, sections, place and activities. Said information will be notified in time.
